For the third year in a row, Russ Peterson of iSpeak, Inc., based in Round Rock, Texas, was named a Finalist on May 18th, 2009 in the “Best Sales Trainer” category for the 2009 American Business Awards.

“I’m honored to be selected as a finalist for the “Best Sales Trainer” for a third year in a row.” stated Russ Peterson of iSpeak, Inc. “As the facilitator, I can say the training project reviewed for this nomination was extremely rewarding for me when you see the implementation of the new skills we were teaching. I appreciate all the hard work of the entire iSpeak team involved in the development of this project.”

Stevie Award winners will be announced during the 2009 Awards Gala on Monday, June 22 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than 600 executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend. The ceremonies will be videocast on the Internet and broadcast on radio, and hosted by Cheryl Casone of TV’s FOX Business Network.

Russ Peterson consistently receives exceptional student feedback on his knowledge, delivery, experience and personal stories used to educate. He combines personal sales experience, exceptional delivery skills and customized curriculum for his students’ benefit. Russ’ average score from all students included in this project was 4.85 on a scale of 1 to 5. Besides the positive feedback from students, his effect is seen in the improved performance of his students. Russ has over 18 years experience in speaking, teaching and selling, he’s a published Sales Author (Cut the C.R.A.P. and Make the Sale, DC Press, 2003,) and he regularly contributes to iSpeak news articles and iSpeak Selling4Success® sales curriculum.

More than 2,000 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best New Product or Service, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program.

“Being named a Finalist in The American Business Awards is an important achievement,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. “It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition. We congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition.”

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners this week from among Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April through early May. Nicknamed the “Stevie” for the Greek word “crowned,” the elegant Stevie trophy was designed by the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy.
